RISO
RIP's
|
Welcome
to the Riso RIP Interface section. The Interface discussed here
will offer you previously unattainable control and creativity by
interfacing your Riso directly to your PC or MAC.
The RIP
Interfaces offer high speed and low cost production of documents
of all types when you link your computer to the Risograph Digital
Duplicator.
The
ability to handle text, photographs, graphics, charts and spot colours
will open up a new world of creative opportunities.

The
SC3500 RIP
The SC3500
is a PC compatible RIP, suitable for use with all Riso CR, GR
and FR series digital duplicators. The SC3500 software RIP, with
standard RAM is designed to operate with Riso's 300 x 300dpi,
300 x 400dpi and 400 x 400dpi digital duplicators.
Incorporating
Riso printer drivers for the Windows platform, the SC3500 comfortably
manages text, drawings, simple tones and basic spot colour seperations.
The software
also functions from your computer in addition to 180 degree image
rotation (reverse lead and tail edges) for design and print considerations.
The
SC5500 RIP
The SC5000
is a PC and MAC compatible RIP suitable for use with all Riso
CR, GR and FR series digital duplicators. The SC5000 software
RIP is designed to operate with 400 x 400dpi and
600 x 600dpi Risographs, however, 300 x 300dpi and 300 x 400dpi
models are supported as well.
There
are Riso printer drivers for Windows and Macintosh platforms and
on-screen software control of the Riso printer functions including
printer status, diagnostics, font downloading, 180 degree image
rotation, as well as automatic drum size and printer resolution
detection at start up. Postscript level 2 support is possible
with the addition of an optional Simm card.
The
SC7950 RIP
The SC7950 is the new
standard for professional PostScript output. It offers the full
capabilities of network digital printing when using the Risograph.
With the SC7950, you have control of most Risograph operations,
including scanning from your computer over the network, while
monitoring all print jobs including printer status on screen.
Multi-platform and multi-protocol supports expand your resources
under a real network environment. This interface is essential
for high resolution graphics or when printing from an Apple Mac
computer.
A central component
of this remarkable new interface is the job and queue database.
The powerful
queue concept allows the user to submit jobs for immediate print
or printing at a later date. Brand new functions to be found on
the SC7950 include fixed form and overlay creation, job split
function and booklet mode. As an added bonus, by using the glass
platen of the RISO printer, the SC7950 allows you to scan back
data to your computer.
The SC7950 is a high
speed RIP that allows a computer on the network to access the
Risograph directly, without a print server being required. With
support for the most common 10Base-T and 100Base-TX network cabling,
processing speeds are significantly increased. It also comes equipped
with a built-in Ethernet card for easy scanning over the network.
It is also a certified
true Adobe PostScript Level 3 device, assuring the highest level
of PostScript compatibility along with Photo Quality Grayscaling.
Also included are 193 versatile resident fonts, ensuring the higher
print quality required for professional printing.
Any images you require
can be scanned using the ethernet connection at a resolution of
up to 600 x 600 dpi via the Risograph Digital Printer. No SCSI
is required.
The dedicated utility
program 'RISO console' allows you to monitor the status of your
Risograph and control the print jobs stored on the hard disk.
Check the specs to discover other SC7950 features which will help
you meet the most demanding print job deadlines with professional
results of the highest quality.
